SenderID and OADC compliance in France

In France, OADCs or SenderIDs must be compliant. smsmode© can help you with this.

Faced with a large number of cases of fraud, the authorities (operators, AF2M and aggregators) have implemented a number of actions to prevent non-compliant OADCs or SenderIDs. This can lead to blockages in the event of non-compliance.

There are 5 possible reasons for transmitter blocking:

OADC (Sender ID) strictly prohibited: 

A list of sensitive personalized senders that can be used to mislead recipients (e.g. SFR, ANTAI, Ameli, GOUV) is prohibited.

OADC (Sender ID) prohibited unless authorized:

Customized senders representing existing brands, banks or institutions are also prohibited, and may not be used without the official agreement of the brands/institutions in question (BNP, Netflix, Amazon, Chronopost, etc.).

OADC (Sender ID) containing one or more special characters :

The use of all special characters is prohibited. Below is a non-exhaustive list of forbidden special characters:

OADC (Sender ID) with digits only (Numeric):

Customized senders containing only digits are also prohibited. 

Generic OADC (Sender ID):

Personalized senders with generic words are also prohibited (e.g. alert, appointment, payment, bank, parcel, payment, delivery, test, etc.).

A non-compliant SenderID / OADC may be overwritten or blocked by smsmode or subsequent telecom operators.
