What file formats are supported by the RCS API?

The RCS API allows you to enrich your messages by embedding multimedia files such as images, videos, audio or documents. To ensure proper delivery of your content, certain formats and sending rules must be respected.

Managing the fileUrl field

  • The fileUrl field is mandatory and corresponds to the URL of the file being sent.

  • The URL must use HTTPS and be no longer than 255 characters.

  • The maximum allowed file size is 100 MB.

  • The following extensions are supported:

Images: jpeg, jpg, gif, png
Audio: aac, mp3, ogg, mp4-latm
Videos: mp4, mpeg, mpg, 3gpp, h263, m4v, mpeg4, webm
Documents: pdf
