What is data security in RCS Business Messaging (RBM)?

Data security in RBM refers to the protections applied to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the messages exchanged between customers, companies, and platforms via RCS.

RCS (Rich Communication Services) is a secure messaging channel.

Messages are encrypted during transmission, and stored temporarily on Google’s servers in a secure manner. Google is certified ISO 27001, SOC 2 and SOC 3, and is GDPR-compliant.

Messages may be automatically analysed to prevent abuse, but are never used for advertising purposes.
